The construction of a new kindergarten closed by and several housing units in the neighboring forest made it necessary to redesign the existing playground and barbecue area. The enlarged, now 2,5 hectare site, was structured into three terraces, which offer diverse facilities and playing equipments for youngsters and children of different ages. The barbecue area is used mainly by the Turkish population. This play and recreation spot serves both the inhabitants in this district of Innsbruck as well as whithin a larger regional catchment.
