Park for a new hospital as a public space

Client: KAGES

Team: Dominik Reumair, Clemens Lutz

Architecture: Klaus Kada

The task consisted of creating a garden for a new hospital that is also attractive for the town residents as a publicly accessible green space. Visitors enter the hospital over a skywalk that leads through the crowns of plane trees.

The inner access to the garden is provided by a semicircular path from which cul-de-sacs with resting places open out, whereby an old fruit grove was integrated into the landscape concept. A rose garden, a pond (retention basin), tufts of grasses and a roof garden constitute important design elements.
